ในการให้อาหารแมว ควรที่จะมีน้ำสะอาดวางอยู่ใกล้ๆ อาหาร ผมเคยเห็นคนเลี้ยงบางคนไม่ได้ให้น้ำสำหรับแมว เมื่อแมวกินอาหารแล้วไม่ได้กินน้ำ ก็เกิดเป็นโรคไต เพราะอาหารมีความเค็มสูง ทำให้แมวเกิดโรคได้
และที่สำคัญในการให้อาหารควรที่จะเปลี่ยนอาหารที่แมวกินแล้วเกิดผิดปกติโดยทันที
การให้อาหารและน้ำสำหรับแมว ควรที่จะเปลี่ยนอาหารและน้ำทุกๆวัน ไม่ควรให้ค้างเกิน 1 วัน เพราะอาจจะมีผลให้แมวเกิดโรคบางอย่างได้ครับ
